Pablo Picasso (Spanish 1881-1973) is considered the Grand Master and most influential artist of the 20th century. Picasso died in 1973 leaving a private collection of his works to his heirs, Marina, Paloma, Maya, Claude and Bernard. Many of the pieces were never sold by Picasso during his lifetime. In the late 1970's and early 80's, Marina caused to be published a certain number of the works. These works are now known as the Marina Picasso Collection. |
